Minister for Health, Hon. Karen Mintah Akandoh has visited Northern Region to engage with health workers in the region and to check whether or not Docrors Posted to the Region have duly reported.

The Minister’s visit follows widespread reports of Docrors refusing Postings to deprived and under served areas in the country.
Many are commending the Health Minister for for his proactive approach to the issue and his stance to block the salaries of doctors who refuse posting to those areas.
His visit, according to sources would help motivate the doctors who have already reported and those yet to report, to report.
Meanwhile, the Juaboso Member of Parliament has been assuring Doctors and health workers Posted to the region of government’s commitment to motivate them and make their stay comfortable.
He however reminded those who are refusing to report that there shall not be holiday or grace period should the ultatum elapse.
