Foreign Minister Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa continues to receive Thumbs Up from world leaders inspite of the NPP’s failed Smear Campaign against him.
For the past few weeks the opposition NPP has mounted wobbling campaign on accountability for the Ghanaians evacuated from South Africa.
The venerable Minister has since denied the accusations and made public the expenditure yet the NPP continues to demand answers that have already been given.
But upon all of these noise from the NPP, the North Tongu Member of Parliament is busy working and putting Ghana on the world map.
He has since been the sought for Foreign Affairs Minister owing to his pedigree, competence and tough stance on diplomatic issues.
One of such powerful leaders who recently met the Foreign Affairs Minister is Canadian Secretary of State for International Development, Honourable Randeep Sarai.
The details of the discussions between the two leaders is captured below as posted on the Facebook wall of Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa.
I have held very positive and meaningful discussions with the distinguished Canadian Secretary of State for International Development, Honourable Randeep Sarai.
The Honourable Randeep Sarai is a great friend of Ghana as demonstrated by his conscious decision to make Ghana the first country he visited last year immediately after his appointment.
Our fruitful engagement has led to concrete deliverables as follows:
- Ghana and Canada will create a partnership for labour mobility and skills empowerment for the youth in areas such as digital literacy, standardized certification for global jobs, energy transition and TVET;
- Ghana and Canada will enhance our collaboration at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre to enable the prestigious Ghanaian institution offer more in promoting regional stability and counterterrorism;
- Canada will offer technical support for the establishment of Ghana’s Women’s Development Bank;
- Ghana and Canada have agreed to cooperate in modern environmental protection and reclamation as we promote legal and sustainable mining practices;
- Ghana and Canada will coordinate a broader Africa-Canada dialogue next year to align and curate shared development priorities as Africa seeks rapid transformation through trade, industrialization, railway development, value addition and not aid.
We reaffirm our buoyant Ghana 🇬🇭 Canada 🇨🇦 relations.
For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾
