GJA President Albert Dwumfour and General Secretary Dominic Hlordzi have summarily dismissed two longest serving staff of the Press Centre Fiifi Nettey and Dora Larbi in what appears to be a grand scheme for the duo to continue fleecing the coffers of the GJA.

Unimpeachable information available to senaradioonline.com indicates that Fiifi Nettey who has served the Association for 25 years and Dora Larbi, who has served for 17 years, have been the only persons who frown on the one man show and corrupt administration of Albert Dwumfour and insisted on the right and prudent way of corporate governance.

In a letter handed to them on Christmas month callously by Dwumfour’s henchman Dominic Hlordzi fraught with grammatical malapropisms, read in part :
“We write to formally notify you that your employment with GJA at the Ghana International Press Centre is hereby terminated with immediate effect. In accordance with the applicable provisions of the Labour Act 2003 (Act 631)

Your final entitlement shall include the following:

  1. One (1) month salary in lieu of notice
  2. Any outstanding salaries due to you and
  3. An additional one (1) month’s salary.

This flawed decision has since been met with uproar and widespread consternation by the Journalism fraternity including puppets of Albert Dwumfour, some of whom have vowed to resist this illegality .

We are reliably informed by a smoking gun that this dismissal is a grand scheme by Albert Dwumfour and his henchman Dominic Hlordzi to get away with accountability and manipulate the next election for Dwumfour to elect his surrogate as next GJA President.

Many Journalists are amazed about how Veteran Journalists and Past leaders of this noble Association have remained mute for these journalistic dunderheads and hellaciously invertebrate cowards like Dwumfour and his likes to hijack the Association and govern it like their personal property.

One of the fuming Journalists who heard the dismissal said “ how can a leadership which has failed to even account for the sponsorship of the just ended GJA Awards be dismissing people. They rather must step aside”.

Many Journalists are wondering why attempt can even be made to Sack institutional memory like Ms Dora Larbi and Fiifi Nettey in whose house the GJA started.

They believe that this ignominy of a decision would be a death warrant that can topple Dwumfour and his henchman Dominic Hlordzi in a classical case of “who the God’s want to kill first make mad”.

Watch out for part 2
