The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine has revealed that twelve suspects including the former Director General of National Service Scheme(NSS) Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi and his deputy Gifty Oware Mensah are to be charged for serious criminal offences leading to financial loss to the state.
According to the Attorney-General, the criminal enterprise of the 12 suspects resulted in the loss of over ghc548million to the state.
Dr. Ayine made the disclosure at ‘the meet the press’ series in Accra on Friday.
“The criminal enterprise we have investigated undermines and makes nonsense of the core values of the NSS”, the Attorney General stated.
He revealed that the suspects shall be charged with Stealing, Conspiracy to steal, Willfully causing financial loss to the state.
The rest are Using public office for profit, Money Laundering, Conspiracy to commit money laundering.
