The ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC) has unveiled a new initiative aimed at contributing to free, fair and all-inclusive national elections this weekend.
Addressing the press at the Rawlings House on Wednesday , the Deputy Communication Officer of the party, Godwin Ako Gunn said the initiative will afford Aspirants the opportunity to communicate with delegates or party members ahead of the elections.

“The Platform called the campaign trail is to help Aspirants communicate their vision and ideas and interact with delegates with open and constructive ideas.
In this regard all aspirants must take advantage of it”, he added.
According to Ag Communications Officer the platform is designed to help engage all party people and constituents across the country.
Mr. Gunn noted that many constituents want parliamentary candidates and national executives to visit their constituencies to campaign but this platform would make it much easier the Aspirants adding that with the short time available before the elections, it is not possible for contestants to visit every constituency in person.
The platform will therefore offer an opportunity for constituents to know those contesting various positions and to give them a hearing.
“The maiden will feature Joseph Yamin and Mustapha Gbande.
All Aspirants who wish to take advantage should contact the communications Directorate”, he stressed.
Gunn who is also seeking re-election later announced that its General Secretary will address the media tomorrow to inform members on the arrangements for this weekend’s elections.
