“Cycle after cycle, we have turned this commitment into concrete action. This unwavering consistency is the bedrock upon which we are building a Ghana where the most vulnerable are shielded from hardship, and where every household is empowered to live with dignity and hope”, the Minister emphasized.

She disclosed that the 98th payment cycle which begun on October 8, 2025, will directly support 350,580 beneficiary households with cash grants that will positively impact the lives of over 1.5 million individuals across the nation.

According to her in this cycle of payments Households with one eligible member will receive GH₵320.00, Households with two eligible members will receive GH₵380.00 whilst Households with three eligible members will receive GH₵440.00 with Households with four or more eligible members receiving GH₵530.00.

“In addition to direct cash support, the Ministry has placed strong emphasis on human capital development and productive inclusion for LEAP beneficiaries. More than just altering daily habits, we are empowering households with the tools and opportunities to engage in sustainable productive activities and self-employment. This shift in behaviour and economic activity enables them to maximise the use of LEAP grants, moving from subsistence to investment for long-term resilience and well-being” Hon. Lartey disclosed.

To this end, the Krowor Member of Parliament revealed that the Ministry has trained a cadre of Master Trainers who provide technical support to sub-national structures, culminating in the training and regular sensitisation of beneficiaries nationwide.

She added that this structured approach ensures that LEAP is not only a safety net but also a springboard for sustainable economic and human development.

“We have again accelerated efforts towards the re-assessment of the LEAP Programme. An effort that will eventually increase the coverage of the LEAP Programme from 350,580 households to 400,000 households before the end of 2025 in line with the vision of the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama”, she stressed.

The Gender Minister later commended H.E John Dramani Mahama for a strong leadership that has ensured the provision of adequate resources to sustain the LEAP Programme.

“ Notably, his vision has guided the passage of the landmark Social Protection Bill into Law, which now provides a strong legal framework to safeguard the rights of the vulnerable and enshrine social protection as a permanent pillar of national development”, Dr. Lartey said.

She however cautioned beneficiaries to report any suspicion of fraud with toll free number 0800800800 or 0800900900, appealing to them to also actively participate in the ongoing LEAP reassessment data collection mop-up and the upcoming household data verification exercise.

“Your cooperation is vital to ensuring fairness, effectiveness, and expansion of the LEAP Programme to other deserving households”.
