The Committee Constituted by Health Minister, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has revealed that Charles Ammissah died of neglect by Doctors at Police Hospital, Greater Accra Regional Hospital (GARH) and Korle-Bu teaching Hospital.

The Committee, chaired by Dr. Agyemang Badu Akorsa revealed this when it submitted its findings to the Minister.
According to the Committee the Health Professionals failed to adhere to professional standard and procedure by neglecting the patient instead of stabilizing him, leading to his death.

The Health Minister who received the report directed that all Doctors accused of negligence be sanctioned by the Institutions in which they work and Medical and Dental Council as recommended by the Committee.
He expressed regret for the incident stressing that “never again should this happen”.
