The observance of the Green Ghana Day on Friday came with it’s own hazard as Akufo Addo in full glare of the public was conspicuously seen ordering the Accra Regional Minister Hon.Henry Quartey to go and tell the Ga Chiefs to be up standing.

The Chiefs were sitting down when the National Anthem was being played, drawing sharp open condemnation from the President.

Hon. Henry Quartey who appeared hesitant and confused when the order was being given [owing to the fact that he incurred the wrath of Wulomei in the region a few weeks ago], had no option than to go and deliver the message to the Chiefs but in humility.

Even though, Journalists covering the program, guests and on lookers who saw the act said the President was right, they however described the act as unpresidential arguing that the President could have ordered the Minister without necessarily throwing his hands in fury in full glare of the public.

The situation led to the President refusing to acknowledge them with the usual “Niimei and Naamei” during his address.
