President of Online Publishers Association of Ghana (OPAG) Michael Petit Mawugbe has left Accra to attend the Conference Des Journalists Franciphone (Conference Of French Speaking Journalists) taking place in Lome-Togo.
The Conference which begins on Saturday and Ends on Monday will converge about 100 French speaking Journalists in Africa in Lome as part of a broader agenda of the Organization Internationale de la Franciphonie being championed by France.

OPAG President , who is the only Representative from Ghana will deliver a statement and pledge OPAG’s commitment to encourage more Journalists in Ghana to embrace learning of the French Language.
He will also share the dynamics of online practices in Ghana and how the online ecosystem is impacting societal development.
Efo Mawugbe’s invitation is borne out of his sterling contributions to media development and his campaign against Misinformation and disinformation.
The President of OPAG is expected back in Accra on Monday August 3, 2026.
