Japanese and Russian Business Delegations Visit GPHA

A Japanese business delegation on Friday, January 16, 2025, paid a working visit to the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) to explore investment opportunities within the ports and harbours sector.

The high-powered delegation, comprising representatives from both public and private sector companies in Japan, was received at the GPHA Towers by the Director of the Port of Tema, Mr. Tebon Zumah, Esq., on behalf of the Director-General of GPHA, Major General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono.

Mr. Zumah expressed the Authority’s readiness to collaborate with Japanese companies to unlock mutually beneficial business opportunities. He also assured the delegation of GPHA’s capacity to deliver top-notch services to companies intending to operate through Ghana’s ports.

Earlier, a delegation from the Russia University of Transport had also paid a working visit to the Authority and was received by the General Manager for Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Dr. Kingsley Antwi-Boasiako and other Management Members.

Discussions during the meeting focused on potential partnerships in logistics and transport, as well as training and capacity development initiatives, among other areas of mutual interest.
