four-member delegation, led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie, paid a courtesy call on the Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, at the NCA Tower in Accra.

The purpose of the visit was to congratulate Rev. Ing. Edmund Fianko on his appointment and to further strengthen collaboration between the NCA and GIPC in the promotion of foreign direct investment (FDI) within Ghana’s telecommunications sector

Rev. Ing. Fianko, in his remarks, welcomed the delegation and acknowledged the importance of close cooperation with the GIPC to ensure that Ghana remains an attractive destination for telecom-related investments. He noted that,

“The NCA remains committed to working with GIPC to ensure that the right environment is created for investors, especially in expanding connectivity and services to underserved areas.”

Mr. Simon Madjie reiterated the critical role the NCA plays in shaping investor confidence. “You form an integral part of our mandate. As the key regulator in the telecommunications space, the NCA significantly influences how investors perceive opportunities in Ghana. Your performance directly impacts our ability to attract and retain meaningful investments.” He said.

The visit also provided the opportunity to reaffirm the strategic alignment between GIPC’s investment promotion activities and the NCA’s regulatory mandate.
