The Twefohene of Otuam Traditional Area, Nana Dr. Mpream VIII, has appealed to government to make the Temple of World Peace or the third Temple, a tourist destination as part of government’s broader effort to make Ghana a tourist destination.
The Temple of World Peace (Temple of Rabbi),which takes inspiration from the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem and the Kaaba in Mecca, is located in Ekumfi Otuam in the central region.
According to Twefohene, uniqueness of the town, as the birth place of former president Mills, makes the Temple a cynosure for tourists across the world.
Nana Mpream VIII was speaking at the media launch of Last Trumpet Movement’s HELP-LINE Tour and Sacred Visitation of the Holy land of Ghana, thus Temple of World Peace held in Accra on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
The Twefohene therefore appealed to government and corporate Ghana to take special interest in the development of the Temple to serve not only as a hub for Tourists but also a hub for spiritual renewal.
The leader of Asomdwee Ntontom Som (Religion of Peace and Adoration), Onyame Somafo Yawoh stressed that the Temple is expected to be one of the greatest tourist attraction sites in the world, underscoring the need for government to prioritize the Temple and make it a world tourist Temple.
He also appealed to the government to help in the construction of more accommodation edifices to house tourists who will visit the Temple, as well as an expansion of the conference hall.
On his part, the Convener of Last Trumpet Movement, Omanyah Shadai Clottey revealed that the Movement is organizing is a 12-day program in April that offers participants and tourists the opportunity to experience historical sites and rejuvenate at the Temple of World Peace.
“The temple is here for peace. Government must make sure this endeavor is supported to make Ghana a well sought for place for tourism”, Mr. Shadai emphasized.
Located in Ekumfi Otuam, Central Region, Ghana, the Third Temple, a replica of the Temple of Solomon and the Kaaba in Mecca, has already begun attracting worshippers from all over the African Continent during its quarterly Annual Healing Conference.
