Economic Policy Analyst, Senyo Hosi has taken a swipe at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources over the revocation of Adamus Resources mining lease.
Speaking on TV3’s weekend flagship talk show- the Key Points on Saturday (August 14, 2026) the erudite Hosi described the revocation as very depressing and arbitrary.
He argued that assuming the Ministry’s allegations of infractions against the company is true, those infractions should not warrant revocation of a license but rather corrective measures to remedy the situation.
“The Ministry’s allegations that Adamus breaching conditions of mining lease, not regularizing ownership, yes you have to enforce regulation but You don’t enforce regulation to collapse. You enforce regulation to correct and rationalize business” Mr. Hosi stressed.
He added “If you want to take an action like this you should be moderate, that is why Act 299 is important about you not being too arbitrary”.
The Economic Analyst also emphasized that the sector Ministry breached section 68 which requires them to give Adamus 120 days to correct the said infractions.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, since the revocation of Adamus Mining license, has received backlash from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) who describe the revocation as high handedness.
