The Interior Ministry is facing massive back lash from the Citizenry particularly Applicants for the 2026 Security recruitment for disqualifying many eligible Applicants over What appears to be baseless criteria.
Many of the disgruntled Applicants who spoke to this Editor, some of whom were wailing have accused the Interior Ministry of unfairly disqualifying them, describing the whole system as a sham.
They described some of the questions for the Aptitude test as nonsense as it has no bearing with the job they are being recruited for.
One of the questions read : First hand heart transplant operation conducted by Dr. Christian Barnard on Louis Washkansky was conducted in which year? followed by 5 plausible answers for which Applicants must choose one.
This question according to most of them makes nonsense of the whole process.
“How does first human operation in so so and so years got to do with the Prison service that I want to serve. Why, Am I applying to be a nurse or what?”, one aggrieved Applicant fumed.
They also suspect foul play in the process , which is why they claimed their results was placed on pending for 24hour before being released on Wednesday instead of Monday.
Some of them who could not withstand the shock handed them took to social media to vent their spleen.
One of them wrote : “Apparently, most of these guys on pending actually obtained the pass mark but disqualified because AI suspects malpractice?
As it stands now many Applicants including those affiliated to the NDC are gnashing their teeth and expecting the Interior Ministry to do the needful else incur their wrath in the coming days.
