Ghana Hosts AU Extraordinary Summit on Health Slated for 21-22nd July
Ghana will host African Union(AU) Extraordinary summit on Health on Tuesday 21st July to Wednesday 22nd July 2026 in Accra.
The Summit which comes off at the Alisa Hotel will bring together Head of States, Foreign Affairs Ministers and Health Minister’s within the AU.
The summit focusses on ending AIDS, TB, Improving Maternal health and addressing non-communicable and neglected tropical diseases in the region as well as strengthening health systems by 2030.
The Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang us expected to open the sunmit whilst Ghana’s Health Minister Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh is expected to lead the discussions from Ghana’s perspectives.
