There seems to be uneasiness at the Information Service Department as majority of the Public Affairs officers are venting their spleen over the Posting of supposed NPP Sympathizers to Juicy Ministries by the Head of ISD -PR, Mrs. Ethel Cudjoe.
Sources within the ISD tell this Editor that most of the ISD PROs are up in arms and are questioning recent postings which they say is fraught with NPP motivated favoritism and cronyism.

The Sources, who are long-serving PR officers alleged that the Chief Director of information Service, Dr. Winifred Nafisatu Mahama and her ally Ethel Cudjoe have always posted a particular group of PROs [which they describe as Cartels with leanings with NPP], to juicy Ministries a situation which defeats the fairness policy and makes nonsense of competency and long service.
These cartel favorites of Dr. Winifred Nafisatu Mahama and Ethel Cudjoe according to sources often demonstrate high esprit de Corps, shouting their mouths off saying to colleagues“ we choose where we want”.
“How can we be in the department and only few favorites get juicy places. Are those people better than us.
In any case, when their party NPP was in power and they were posted to Juicy places, Is it not proper and legitimate that we too of NDC leanings would be posted to those juicy places?, the aggrieved officers berated.
Even some of our colleagues at the regional co-ordinating councils are not happy because like they often describe their situation ‘we’ve been dumped and abandoned’.
My brother, a good posting is one that is done in a fair and transparent manner where PROs are reshuffled to enable them gain varied experiences from other Ministries and not the political one Ethel Cudjoe and her Nafisatu recently did. Who does that?”, Another furious Staff recounted.
Another aggrieved PRO who sobbed whilst speaking to this Editor said he and his colleagues were transferred from a Ministry back to the ISD but till date, an office has not been assigned to them.
“Meanwhile she Ethel Cudjoe has posted herself to the Ghana Embassy in US which she is preparing to leave”, he revealed.
Given the resetting agenda of President John Dramani Mahama, many political watchers are shocked over how the list was approved without the approving authority picking intelligence about what seems to be a politically motivated posting which only favours a particular cabal within the ISD, known for their deep rootedness in the NPP.
These Politcal Analysts’ fear is anchored by the fact that these renegades of wolf PROs who are in sheep’s clothing may be leaking sensitive government information to their pay masters, the NPP thereby jeopardizing government’s communications.
A couple of weeks ago, several publications have been made about how these NPP PROs discriminated against the pro-NDC media and only dealt with the Pro-NPP media.
Ministers and appointees, nonetheless this latest postings, are therefore being urged to immediately restructure their public relations teams across all government institutions, to prevent opposition-aligned officials from using their positions to undermine the government’s communication strategy.
If left unchecked, these NPP-aligned PROs could sabotage the NDC government’s ability to inform the public, shape public perception, and effectively govern the country.
