President John Dramani Mahaha has said stated the state of the nation is not good.

The President who was delivering the state of the nation address in Parliament on Thursday said that that he is not here to do blame game.

He touted how he fixed the dumsor in his first term stressing that he is here to reset the economy and put it on the path of growth and prosperity.

Below are the highlights of speech

“We have inherited an economy that is broken in many fronts”, the President revealed.

“we are saddled with staggering debts and reckless management of our resources”

“Several state agencies are in debt including ECG and COCOBOD”

“COCOBOD will lose $495million by the time we finish the remaining roll over”

“Financial sector continues to struggle despite clean up”

“The Sinking fund has 64,000 in dollar account and 143 million in cedi account”

“We have also built additional buffers in the sinking fund”

“We will work with Ghanaians to build the Ghana we want adding that “we gave eliminated unnecessary expenditure”.

“Bondholders will be paid to the last pesewa owed them”

“Sacrifices we have made this year will benefit us this year”

“Nkoko nkitinkiti will cover 55,000 households”

“We have extended supply of pre-mix fuel to enhance quality of fish production.”

“Youth unemployment is one of our biggest crises and requires urgent attention”

“I have directed the culprits in the NSS ghost names to be declared wanted”.
