“For 60 years, the cedi has moved with our people, it has gone into markets, it has gone into small shops. The cedi has gone onto farms, it has gone into trotro stations”, the Governor emphasized.

To this end, Dr. Asiama stressed that the next 60 years would require the BOG and policy makers to ensure that the cedi, however it is assessed continues to serve the aspirations of Ghanaians.

He later advised Ghanaians to handle the cedi with care adding that “let us promote and respect proper storage and responsible use of the cedi”.
