The Editor of the New Republic newspaper, David Tamakloe , is once again at the centre of jaundiced journalism and false publication spree .
Consequently, lawyers for the CEO of Adamus Resources Ltd Angela List have sued him and one Ralph Ofori Adeniram for false publications and defamation.
The injunction suit , which was filed against David Tamakloe , who doubles as President of the Private Newspaper Publishers Association (PRINPAG ) , and Ralph Ofori Adeniram , follows series of false publications and defamation by the duo against the respected , and multiple award- winning mining mogul.
In one of the defamatory and slanderous publications, David Tamakloe, in a Facebook post , insinuated as follows: “Wontumi Jailed , Angela List is Next,” palpably slapping Angela List with an unproven offense of illegal mining .
With evidence of posts and publications attached to the suit, lawyers for Angela List cited one screaming headline carried by David Tamakloe in the New Republic that labeled Angela List as “Galamsey Queen.”
That headline read in full: “Queen of Nzema… How Angela List Turned an Australian Mine into a Galamsey Empire.”
These and similar unsubstantiated and slanderous publications by David Tamakloe are what have necessitated this court action.
In the motion of notice of interlocutory injunction pursuant to order 25 C.I. 47, Angela List’s lawyers are “praying the Court to restrain David Tamakloe and Ralph Ofori Adeniram , whether by themselves, their agents, assigns, privies, workmen or howsoever otherwise described , including the outfits through which either of them operate, namely Whatsup News or the New Republic and its website – thenewrepublicgh.com , from further publishing, republishing, broadcasting or causing to be published or republished in print, electronic or any other form of medium whatsoever any defamatory words, statement or any matter concerning the Plaintiff/Applicants pending the determination of the suit.”
