The Show of camaraderie exhibited by the only two contenders for the general secretary position of the GJA was a scene to behold as practitioners described it as a sign of unity within the GJA.
The two, Akwasi Agyeman and Domonic Hlordzi who took turns to be vetted on Thursday exchanged Infectious pleasantries , sharing memories of how far both of them have come in the Journalism space as well as the GJA.
Many have predicted a very fierce GJA Elections as experienced in the last elections but this act of comradeship from the two Aspirants has deflated that perception.
The interesting part of it was that one said to the other, “I senior you, step down for me and the other responded “I’ve been doing this GJA stuff way back”.
Dominic Hlordzi is the current Organizing Secretary of the of the GJA anGJa Chief Editor at GBC vying to be elected as General Secretary whilst Akwasi Agyeman, a Second time General Secretary hopeful, and Chief Editor of Adom fm seeking to annex the General secretary position this time round after unsuccessful attempt at the first instance.
