USA, February 2026

A Ghana delegation, led by Mr. Lateef Apau Wiredu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Operations) of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), continued its strategic investment engagement mission in the United States with a high-level meeting with Perry Ellis International on 25th February in Miami, Florida.

Senior executives of Perry Ellis International, led by Mr. Oscar Feldenkreis, Chief Executive Officer and President, and Mr. Bradley Arkin, Executive Vice President of Global Sourcing, met with the Ghana team. Perry Ellis International is a globally recognized fashion house with a diverse portfolio of lifestyle and apparel brands distributed across multiple international markets. Discussions centered on exploring opportunities for sourcing, apparel manufacturing partnerships, and potential investment in Ghana’s growing textile and garment sector.

The delegation presented Ghana’s expanding apparel manufacturing ecosystem and highlighted the strategic advantages of operating under the Free Zones regime, including a stable political and business environment; investor-friendly policies and regulatory support; duty-free and quota-free access to key markets, including the United States under AGOA; and Ghana’s strategic location as a gateway to West Africa and the broader AfCFTA market.
