The death is reported of Awintia Aguure, father of the Greater Accra East Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Andrews Nelson Awintia.
Rev Awintia is also the Lead Pastor of Bethel Family Chapel of the Assemblies of God, Tema Community 22, and the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the 2026 World Congress of the Assemblies of God Fellowship, scheduled to take place in Accra from October 12- 14, 2026.
Awintia Aguure died on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Nafkolga, near Bawku, in the Upper East Region.
According to the family, funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
