The Mining Specialist who was former second Vice President was elevated to the position at the Chamber’s 98th Annual General Meeting (AGM) owing to her invaluable expertise and contributions to the mining industry in Ghana.

The election places her in the Chamber’s second-highest leadership position, with a mandate to assist the President shape policy, drive technical standards, and advocate for sustainable mining practices across Ghana.

This new feat chalked by the Nguvu Holdings boss goes to cement her sterling track record in the mining industry within and beyond the borders of Ghana.

Delegates cited her track record of improving safety metrics, pushing for local content, and bridging the gap between industry, government, and mining communities as key reasons for the landslide vote.

Speaking to Senaradioonline.com exclusively, Angela Attieh who has over 30 years of experience in the extractive sector said “Mining is the backbone of our economy, but its real value is measured by the lives it improves. My focus will be on 3 things: safer mines, stronger local participation, and responsible environmental stewardship”, the Chamber of Mines Vice President emphasized.

“We must ensure the wealth underground translates into prosperity above ground”, she added.
