Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana(IEAG) is demanding that government invests in improving the Publican AI System through regular software updates and data refinement.
Addressing a news conference in Accra on Thursday, the Executive Secretary of IEAG, Samson Asaki Awingobit explained that regular software updates and refinement would help enhance businesses at the port and address some of challenges at the Port.

He also underscored the need to strengthen the Appeals Secretariat at the Port to guarantee quicker resolution of disputes amongst members of IEAG and Port officials.
“The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana respectfully recommends that Government: Continue investing in improving the Publican AI System through regular software updates and data refinement”, Mr. Awingobit stressed.
He also appealed to government to strengthen the Appeals Secretariat to guarantee quicker resolution of disputes whilst also deepening stakeholder engagement with the trading community”.
The Executive Secretary later commended management of Publica AI for their work stressing that their intervention has yielded a lot of dividend to the state by way.of revenue.
“Continue using technology to eliminate opportunities for corruption, revenue leakages and arbitrary customs valuation”, he said.
Mr. Awingobit later commended Goldbod for their role in stabilizing Ghana’s economy urging the public to lend support to Goldbod rather than demonizing them.
