The Forum, themed: “Political Economy of Conflict in Ghana: Addressing Youth Unemployment as a Catalyst for Security and Social Cohesion ” ended with a call for a practical curriculum reforms that shapes and nurtures the youth in their early development period.

The President of Catholic Bishops Conference, Rev. Father Mathew Kwesi Antwi, in an address of the event held at the Christ the King Church in Accra, stressed the need for curriculum reforms laced with values and honesty.

‘In this system of education there should be values. Human beings need a manual to guide them on how to use knowledge”, he asserted.

He emphasized that Values and honesty must be taught in school just as the Chinese do to imbibe into the kids the moral values.

This way he said the child would depart from it and that the values would serve as a guide to make them responsible .

He however noted that since the problem of the society comes from the society, solutions must come from the society hence the national forum.
