Minister for Health Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh charged members of the Governing Boards to prioritize free primary health care in an effort to achieve universal health coverage.

According to him, the free primary health care and the Mahama Care are a priority of President Mahama hence the need to make functional.

The Health Minister made the statement when he inaugurated the Governing Boards for Ghana Health Service and Ho Teaching Hospital.

“We are expanding the free primary health care and Mahama care to ensure no Ghanaian is left behind”, the Minister stated.
The MP for Juaboso reminded the board for Ho Teaching Hospital of their mandate which he said is dual, to heal and to teach, advising them to strengthen clinical research and innovation.
“This is a defining moment of governance of our health sector.

This is not just a ceremonial occasion but a moment of responsibility and renewal.

Your presence here is a testament of both your capability and reminder of the task ahead”, the Minister emphasized.

Dr. Worlanyo Yao Tchidi and Dr. Fred Binkah chairs the Ghana Health Service and Ho Teaching Hospital respectively.
