Abubakar Ahmed popularly known as Blakk Rasta is a Ghanaian award-winning reggae/Kuchocho musician. He is well known for the hit song “Barack Obama” which he sang in honour of Ex American President, Barack Obama.
Barack Obama, who was historically elected as the ‘black American’ President of the United States of America, reverberated historic quotes by Marcus Garvey and the popular American activist and minister Martin Luther King Jr.
Obama’s victory brought so much hope to black Americans and blacks on the continent. Blakk Rasta’s ‘Barack Obama’ hit song added immense joy to Barack Obama’s historic win which paved way for the reggae musician to meet with the elected President of the United States at the time.
My Boo is Blakk Rasta’s latest work in the African music genre. It is rendered in South African Gqom which is the country’s House Music style well loved by party goers and music lovers. The versatile Blakk Rasta once again shows his dexterity away from his comfort zone of Reggae/Kuchoko. My Boo by Blakk Rasta was recorded in 2019 and produced by HotMix in Accra, Ghana.
