President of Online Publishers Association of Ghana (OPAG), Mr. Michael Petit Mawugbe (Efo Mawugbe) has departed Accra to attend the Sahel Peace Initiative (SPI) on Misinformation and Disinformation within the conflict context.
As an expert in the online space, Efo Mawugbe is expected to lead the conversation on Misinformation and Disinformation and shed light on ways of countering misinformation and disinformation within the security context.

An invitation extended to the OPAG President by the SPI Secretariat read : “Your experience and institutional leadership within the media particularly online, would bring valuable technical insight and normative guidance to the drafting discussions, ensuring that the Charter reflects professional standards and regional realities.
The 3-Day Forum which begins on 26th March to 28th March, 2026, will provide a strategic platform for dialogue among policymakers, security actors, civil society, and media practitioners to define actionable commitments for sustainable peace in the Sahel and West Africa. Your contribution to the Media Charter component will be particularly instrumental in shaping a credible and forward-looking framework”.
Efo Mawugbe, who is the Managing Editor for senaradioonline.com and the Exposé Newspaper will also participate in a Resource Mobilization Forum for SPI on the sidelines of the main Conference.
He is expected back in Accra on March, 29, 2026.
