Minister for Health Hon Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has given assurance of one doctor per district by 2028.
The Minister disclosed this following a tour in the Northern, Upper East and Nortj East regions.

“Today, I toured the Upper East, North East, and Northern Regions.
I am pleased to announce that as the February 28th deadline for reporting to postings approaches, 66 medical doctors have reported to 8 deprived regions, compared to just 11 medical doctors in 2024 (𝟓𝟎𝟎 % 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞)
At this pace, we are firmly on track to place at least one medical doctor in every district by 2028.
