Lead Campaigner of the Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign, Ras Mubarak has expressed worry over trade and human movement barriers that exists within Africa stressing that it is counter-productive to the Continent.

Speaking as a Panelist on Thursday February 5, 2026 during the African Prosperity Dialogue under the theme “Enabling free movement of people, goods and services for SMEs in Cross Border Trade”, the African Border-less Campaigner explained that Africa is blessed with resources that are capable to make the continent self sufficient.

He added however that limitations and barriers at our borders is the cause of the woes of Africans.

“ Why should Africa suffer when two European countries, Russia-Ukrain are fighting?, when there are countries like Zambia, that produces a lot of clay, you have Morocco, biggest supplier of fertilizer in the African continent

So we have no excuse not to prosper, we have no excuse to move the conversation from boardroom to actions”, Mr. Mubarak said.

He therefore called on African Leaders to accelerate action on the removal of barriers for free trade and movement of people to enable Africa prosper.

He also commended the organizers, African Prosperity Network (APN) for such an initiative, aimed advancing the progress of the continent.
