President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Martin Kolbil Yamborigya as the
Acting Commissioner of the Domestic Tax Revenue Division (DTRD) of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), effective Monday, 17th November 2025. Dr. Yamborigya assumes this position following the retirement of Mr. Edward Apenteng Gyambrah.

Prior to his current appointment as Acting Commissioner, Dr. Yamborigya held several senior management positions within the GRA. These include Audit Team Leader for the Tax Audit Unit, Head of Audit at the Legon Medium Taxpayer Office, Head of Post Clearance Audit, DTRD, and Head of Audit for Special Audits (Audit Factory). He also served as Acting Assistant Commissioner at the Commissioner DTRD’s Secretariat.

His visionary leadership and dedication to service excellence have earned him respect both within the Authority and in the broader tax administration community.
The appointment of Dr. Yamborigya is expected to foster renewed energy in enhancing tax compliance, utilizing digital solutions, and strengthening collaboration with stakeholders to drive Ghana’s domestic revenue mobilization efforts forward.
The management and staff of the GRA extend their congratulations to Dr. Yamborigya on his new appointment and wish him a highly successful tenure as Acting Commissioner of the DTRD.
