The Director-General of NADMO, Major (Rtd.) Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon has assured the Defence and Security Press Corps (DPC) of his commitment to renew ties with the Press Corps to ensure an effective disaster management communications.

He said the press plays a crucial role in the dissemination of disaster related information to the public, hence the meeting to strengthen the ties between NADMO and the Press Corps.
The Director-General made the remarks when the Defense Press Corps paid a courtesy call on him on Tuesday (November 11, 2025).

“The media is the lens of the world and we are grateful for the friendship that we have now”, Dr. Kuyon stressed.
He later advised the DPC to be part of the NADMO Press Corps and help strengthen it explaining that defense and Security are preceded by disaster risk mitigation.
“If we don’t prevent disaster. It’s like building a house without a foundation”, Major rtd Kuyon added.

He later expressed his commitment to work closely and support the DPC.
For his part, the Dean of the DPC, Armstrong Gold Alorgbey commended the Director General for the transformational reforms at the NADMO and pledged the DPC’s commitment to support him by way of media publicity.
