Minister for Health Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has inaugurated the Governing Boards for National Vaccine Institute, HeFRA, Nursing Midwifery Council, Centre for Plant Medicine Research and Mortuary and funeral Facilities Agency.
At a joint inaugural ceremony at the Health Ministry in Accra on Thursday, the Minister charged members of the 5 Governing Boards to serve with diligence to realize the vision of President Mahama.
According to him, the confidence reposed in them is an honor and a call to service hence the need for to work assiduously in order to reset the Institutions in which they serve as Board Members.
“You must enforce the standards and make sure every Ghanaian receives the best care”, the Minister emphasized.
“You have the mandate to close any facility that is not living up to expectation. We are not asking you to go and manage, we are asking you to transform. The resetting agenda must be on”, Hon Akandoh told HeFRAH Board Members.
He later urged members of the other boards to prioritize efficiency and good corporate governance.
