Award Winning Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni is lashing out at the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) over the latter’s insatiable validation of KGL, a company involved in a murky deal with the NLA.

Fourth Estate’s investigations have revealed that KGL is milking the state in a story captioned “Lotto Bonanza: How NLA Under Sammy Awuku Gave away GHC3 billion prime business to KGL in exchange for peanuts”.

Since the exposé, the company KGL has come under severe backlash from Citizens who are questioning why the contract is still in force despite evidence of rots surrounding the contract.

Surprisingly, the GJA whose core mandate include promoting and protecting the state, has jumped to the defense of KGL by giving KGL a spotlight on the flier for 2025 GJA Awards.

This has got many talking and wondering whether this position by the GJA is motivated by financial gains and selfish aggrandizement.

Manasseh’s post on Facebook on Sunday has been necessitated by the penchant of Albert Dwumfour’s led GJA acting As PR Agency for the embattled company.

“Why is the GJA Acting As PR Agency for KGL, the company involved in a murky Contract with NLA”, Manasseh queried.

His comments have drawn widespread condemnation from Netizens who are firing a salvoe at GJA for condoning corruption.
