ADB partners GRNMA to roll out tailored Loan Scheme for Nurses and Midwives

The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has launched a special scheme loan tailored for members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) across the country.

The initiative is aimed at addressing the unique financial needs of our nurses and midwives.

Speaking at the launch, the Deputy Managing Director of ADB in charge of Services (DMD Services), Professor Ferdinand Ahiakpor, underscored the Bank’s commitment to supporting frontline health professionals, describing the scheme as a direct investment in the well-being of those who play a critical role in the nation’s healthcare system.

He emphasized that the objective of the scheme loan was to improve health service delivery of the country by empowering nurses and midwives with financial solutions to better their professional and personal lives. “It is important that our healthcare providers are given this needed facility to support them to operate at their optimal levels,” the DMD Services said.

He announced that the scheme was in line with the bank’s agenda of redefining banking, building futures and driving prosperity.

“This package is not just about loans. It is about standing with our nurses and midwives and recognizing their sacrifices. We want to help them build stability and comfort,” he said.

The ADB DMD Services further assured that this was only the beginning of a long-term partnership with GRNMA, with plans underway to expand the offering into a full suite of financial solutions designed for healthcare professionals.

For his part, the Head of Consumer Finance, Gilbert Sebe-Yeboah explained that the scheme loan will offer nurses and midwives quick and easy access to financial support with simple application and flexible terms.

He mentioned that members of the association could now get affordable loans with low interest rates from ADB, as well as enjoy tailored payment terms that align with their salary schedule.

The President of GRNMA, Mrs. Perpetual Ofori Ampofo, commended ADB for its dedication to championing the interests of their members, noting the collaboration between the two outfits (ADB and GRNMA) as instrumental in bringing this unique banking partnership to fruition.
