$97 million could have fixed Pokuase-Amasaman road – Edudzi Tameklo slams NPP over National Cathedral
The Director of Legal Affairs of the NDC, Mr. Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo has fired a salve at the opposition NPP, accusing it of misplacing national priorities by spending &97million on a national cathedral which he described as the most expensive hole.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page reacting to the audit report, the NPA CEO criticized the NPP for allocating such a significant amount of public funds to what he suggested was a failed or unproductive project, whole essential infrastructure such as the Pokuase-Amasaman road remains in a deplorable state.
“It’s about priority” he wrote “ the $97million spent on the most expensive could have been used to complete the long-abandoned Pokuase-Amasaman project, which is essential and critical for easing traffic and improving transport in that part of Accra”
His remarks adds to growing public frustration over poor road infrastructure especially in a rapidly expanding peri-urban areas like Amassaman where commuters and Residents continue to face challenges due to stalled or incomplete roads.
