President John Dramani Mahama has relieved Dr. Nuhu Zakaria of his duties as Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service.
Although the official reason for his dismissal has not been disclosed, the move follows recent concerns raised by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) over Dr. Zakaria’s alleged misuse of an academic title.
Dr. Zakaria was among several individuals cited by GTEC for using unverified academic credentials and titles they had not officially earned.
It remains unclear whether the GTEC citation directly influenced the president’s decision to remove him from office.
Nuhu Zakaria is the husband of Chied Director Of Gender Ministry Dr. Afisa Zakaria.
