What was meant to be a joyful reunion turned into a devastating tragedy when Air India Flight 171 crashed earlier this week.
Among those on board was Dr. Komi Vyas and her three young children (In the picture). Just two days prior, Dr. Vyas resigned as a medical doctor to reunite with her husband, Pratik Joshi (Also in the picture), in London. Joshi had spent the past six years living alone in the UK, working to establish a stable life for his family’s future.
The family boarded the flight with high hopes and full hearts. A final photo taken before departure shows them smiling, hopeful, excited and ready to begin a new chapter together.
That chapter will now never be written. They all perished in the crash.
