General Secretary of the NDC, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey has charged NDC Supporters to let their allegiance be to the NDC party and not individuals.

Speaking at a ceremony to Commemorate the 33rd Anniversary celebration of the Party in Accra on Tuesday, the firebrand General Secretary expressed worry over persons who show loyalty to persons instead of the party which he described as the Supreme vehicle.

The NDC is the Supreme vehicle so our loyalty to the Party must be number one”, Mr. Kwetey stressed.

He added that “whether power or out of power the commitment must be the same”.

The General Secretary also bemoaned the acts of people amassing wealth for themselves maintaining that, that mindset defeats the social democratic philosophy of the Party.

“People are in a hurry to acquire properties that people who have worked for 30 years have not acquired.

The NDC is the reason we are where we are
People got into Parliament because of the party, today they feel they must get everything they must decide who becomes the DCE”, he said.

The General Secretary asserted that it is the NPP that believes in property owning stressing that the NDC detests that.

He however noted that acquiring properties legitimately is not bad in itself but amassing wealth through corrupt means is what the Party abhors.

He later appealed to all sympathizers of the Party to love the party as it’s the Supreme vehicle for development.

The ceremony saw flags of the Party, revolution, and national being hoisted where various Speakers including Hon. Kofi Attoh and Chairman of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah addressed the gathering.
