At his induction service in Accra, attended by President John Dramani Mahama, , and the Global Chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, Rev. Dominic Yeo, Rev. Wengam expressed gratitude to God and the dignitaries and guests who honoured the occasion.

He recalled that at his first induction four years ago, then-presidential candidate John Mahama was the Special Guest of Honour. He said it was significant to have him attend the ceremony this time as President of the Republic.

Describing his first term as one of “grace galore,” Rev. Wengam said the church had recorded significant growth, with no disappointments.
He disclosed that the church had planted 2,077 new congregations, bringing the total number to 10,077, while its membership had increased from about 812,254 to 1.2 million.

He also revealed that since 2024, members had constructed 177 Legacy Temples to provide permanent places of worship for congregations that previously worshipped under trees and in sheds.

President Mahama and the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, had supported the construction of 10 temples, while Rev. Wengam and his wife, Lady Mrs Monica Wengam, had also donated 10 through his Headquarters salary. The Chief Executive Officer of First Sky Group, Deacon Eric Seddy Kutortse, is expected to build 50 temples.

Rev. Wengam said the church would intensify efforts to implement its Transformation Agenda, which is anchored on six pillars: REACH, REBUILD, RESTORE, REPOSITION, REBRAND and REFORMS.

He added that the church would also give greater attention to the MM33 target of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, which seeks to plant one million churches globally by 2033 to commemorate 2,000 years since the resurrection of Jesus Christ

As part of the church’s preparations for its centenary in 2031, Rev. Wengam announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art international conference centre, known as the Centenary City, with a seating capacity of about 6,000.

He said the architectural designs were ready, while work was underway to wall the 137-acre parcel of land donated by Mr Seth Quaye, who is not a member of the church

Rev. Wengam further disclosed that President Mahama had offered to lead fundraising efforts for the project, while making it clear that the State would not spend public funds on its construction.
Rev. Wengam commended the government over what he described as signs of economic recovery and expressed hope that the proposed $10 billion programme under the New Economy initiative, outlined in the 2027 Budget, would create decent jobs for young people.

He also raised concerns about the growing use of insults in political discourse, urging stakeholders, including the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the Media Foundation for West Africa, to help promote decency, dignity and civility in public debate

On moral concerns, he cited incidents of students assaulting teachers and young people attacking police stations as worrying signs of moral decline.
He called for a national crusade to safeguard the future of the youth and urged parents to raise their children in the fear of God.

In his address, the Global Chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, Rev. Dominic Yeo, urged members of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, to contribute meaningfully to national development as part of their responsibility.

He also encouraged the congregation to remain open to the supernatural move of God and the work of the Holy Spirit
