National Democratic Congress (NDC) has completed a six-volume publication documenting the party’s history, describing the initiative as a significant step towards preserving its legacy and strengthening institutional memory for future generations.
The collection traces the party’s journey from its formation to the present day, capturing key milestones including media coverage of the NDC over the years, leadership elections, manifesto development, constitutional reforms and other defining moments in the party’s evolution.
The books were formally presented to the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, ahead of their official launch scheduled for September 28, 2026 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The author of the Book Israel Yao Dzantor who said he was inspired to write the book by a motivation by the Party Chairman said “this is more than just a book launch; it is a significant step toward preserving the history, struggles, achievements, and political journey of the National Democratic Congress”
Acting Communications Officer, Godwin Ako Gunn stressed that documenting “our history today ensures that future generations will not have to rely on fragmented accounts to understand where the party came from and how far it has come.
“…A history worth making is a history worth preserving”.
