Co-ordinated Publications by Some Newspapers Linking MIKO-SA in Mali to Sister Company in Ghana, Reckless and Misleading-Lawyers for Adamus

Lawyers for Adamus Resources Limited and business executive Angela List have strongly criticized what they describe as a coordinated media campaign aimed at improperly linking the company and its leadership to alleged regulatory breaches in Mali.
In a press release issued on May 25, 2026, the company’s solicitors argued that recent newspaper publications and front-page stories misrepresented the contents of a correspondence reportedly issued by Mali’s Ministry of Mines.
According to the lawyers, the allegations referenced in the correspondence relate specifically to MIKO-SA and not Adamus Resources Limited

The legal team contends that some media outlets deliberately framed their reports around the description of MIKO-SA as a “sister company” of Adamus Resources, thereby encouraging readers to associate Adamus and Angela List with allegations in which they have not been named.
The development raises important questions about media responsibility when reporting on complex corporate structures. Media experts have long cautioned against conflating affiliated entities, noting that companies operating within broader corporate networks may remain legally independent and subject to separate regulatory obligations.
The lawyers argue that the distinction is crucial and that allegations directed at one company cannot automatically be transferred to another based solely on perceived corporate relationships.
The press release further alleges that the simultaneous appearance of similar stories across multiple newspapers suggests a coordinated effort to damage the reputation of Adamus Resources and its leadership

The company expressed concern that Ghanaian media organizations appeared more active in amplifying the matter than media outlets in Mali, where the original correspondence allegedly originated.

Beyond the immediate dispute, the controversy highlights the legal and ethical challenges facing newsrooms in an increasingly interconnected corporate environment. Inaccurate reporting can expose media organizations to defamation claims, particularly where allegations are presented in ways that could imply wrongdoing by individuals or entities not directly implicated.

Adamus Resources has called on media houses to cease publishing narratives that link the company and Angela List to the allegations and has indicated that it reserves the right to pursue legal remedies against parties it believes have participated in disseminating false information.
For journalists and editors, the case serves as a reminder of the importance of verification, context, and precision when reporting on allegations involving multinational corporate entities.

                               PRESS RELEASE

RE: FALSE, MISLEADING AND MALICIOUS PUBLICATIONS SEEKING TO IMPROPERLY LINK ADAMUS RESOURCES LIMITED AND MADAM ANGELA LIST TO ALLEGED REGULATORY BREACHES IN MALI

We act as Solicitors for Adamus Resources Limited and Madam Angela List.

Our Clients’ attention has been drawn to a series of coordinated newspaper publications and sensational front-page stories deliberately framed around the claim that a “sister company” of Adamus Resources Limited was implicated in alleged regulatory breaches arising from a correspondence issued by the Ministry of Mines of the Republic of Mali.

The publications are misleading, reckless, and plainly calculated to inflict reputational damage on our Clients through distortion.

A careful and objective reading of the letter in circulation reveals a fact that the alleged breaches referenced in the correspondence were specifically attributed to MIKO-SA.

Adamus Resources Limited is nowhere mentioned in the correspondence but yet in what can only be described as a calculated exercise in sensationalism and reputational manipulation, certain newspapers deliberately framed the story around the expression “Adamus sister company” in an attempt to connect our Clients and to subtly invite the public to draw false conclusions concerning the operations and reputation of Madam Angela List and her businesses.

While certain entities referenced in the publications may exist within a broader corporate structure, the affiliated companies in law remain separate and distinct legal entities. Allegations against one entity cannot dishonestly be converted into accusations against another merely because of perceived corporate relationships.

More importantly, the said correspondence merely contains allegations. For the record, MIKO-SA is a responsible corporate entity and firmly denies the allegations referenced in the said correspondence.

The synchronized manner in which these stories appeared across several major newspapers and the strategic placement of the publications on front pages, expose a coordinated agenda by unseen actors seeking to injure the reputation of our Clients for ulterior motives.

Indeed, it is most revealing that while the correspondence emanates from Mali, it is media houses in Ghana and not Mali that appear to have embarked on an aggressive campaign of sensationalizing the information and deliberately amplifying misleading narratives around Adamus Resources Limited and Madam Angela List.

The attempt to exploit ongoing public discourse relating to Adamus Resources in Ghana and to manufacture a false narrative that Angela List and companies associated with her operate outside lawful and regulatory standards is most unfortunate.

Our Clients have over the years built reputable businesses through lawful enterprise and will not permit faceless interests to manipulate sections of the media into becoming instruments for the dissemination of falsehoods and coordinated attacks on their reputation.

We accordingly call on all media houses and persons responsible for the dissemination of these misleading publications to immediately cease and desist from further publication or circulation of the false narrative linking Adamus Resources Limited and Madam Angela List to allegations for which they have neither been cited nor accused.

Take notice that our Clients reserve all rights available to them under the law including the institution of legal proceedings against any person, media house, or entity found to have participated in the publication and circulation of these false and defamatory stories.

The public is advised to treat these publications with utmost disdain and to recognize them as a deliberate and coordinated attempt to damage reputations through falsehood and sensationalism.

Signed
