CONCERNED YOUTH OF NZEMA CALL FOR CONSTRUCTIVE DIALOGUE TO ADDRESS BURNING ISSUES OF THE AREA.

We wish to strongly condemn the notice calling for an emergency general meeting purportedly to express gratitude to the President and the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources over the revocation of the Adamus Mining license.

This move is premature, misplaced, and does not reflect the concerns and priorities of the wider community.

At a time when many stakeholders are still seeking clarity on the implications of the revocation, particularly regarding livelihoods, employment, and the local economy, it is inappropriate to organize a meeting focused solely on praise.

Furthermore, the process leading to this notice appears to lack broad consultation. A matter of such importance requires inclusive dialogue, not a hurried gathering that may be perceived as endorsing a one-sided narrative.

We believe that any engagement at this stage should prioritize:

1. Transparent communication on the reasons and consequences of the revocation;

2. Constructive discussions on the future of affected workers and communities;

3. Inclusive participation of all stakeholders, rather than selective representation.

4. The potential negative impact of such actions on unity, transparency and informed decision-making.

Until these concerns are properly addressed, we consider this meeting unnecessary and potentially divisive.

We ,therefore , call for a more inclusive , transparent, and consultative approach in addressing matters of such importance. Constructive dialogue and mutual respect must guide all future engagements.

We reaffirm our commitment to pursuing fair, balanced, and lawful means of addressing community and national issues.

…………..SIGNED…………

HON. JONAS KABUTEY

      (PRESIDENT)
