Macroeconomist and aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Sagnarigu, Dr. Hamza Bukari is being tipped to become the next Member of Parliament for the area.
The Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Alhaji ABA Fuseini, who is also the ranking member for communications is seeking reelection.
However, according to political watchers and insiders, Dr. Hamza is likely to snatch the seat from Alhaji Fuseini in the upcoming primaries.
Per reports from the ground, Dr. Hamza Bukari is the most qualified and experienced candidate among his peers. The constituents also want a new face and new direction in the area
Dr Bukari Hamza is also people-centered, development-oriented, and grassroots-focused according to staunch supporters, and has a track record of supporting the youth with jobs.
However, the incumbent MP, ABA Fuseini has been accused of adopting a divisive leadership style and also has an abysmal development record in the constituency.
The vociferous MP is also not accessible according to his constituents.
According to his opponents, his popular votes have been declining since 2012 and he lost in 44 polling stations in 2020, making him unpopular on the ground.
