Minister for Gender, Children and Social Prptection, Hon Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has appealed to beneficiaries of the Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP) to use the grant to support their school children.
The Minister who acknowledged that the grant is not that much, she however stressed that it is enough to support the education of their kids given the increment to the grant this year.

Hon. Momo Lartey made the statement during the first disbursement of the grant at the Weija Leprosarium on Tuesday.

Let’s use this grant to support our school chilfren”, the Gender Minister emphasized.
She expressed her appreciation to President Mahama for increasing the grant for this year, calling on the beneficiaries to pray for government in order to ensure a continuous flow of the grant.

She revealed that benefiaries of gh256 are now to receive gh320 whilst gh304 beneficiaries to receive gh380.
She added that 3 household beneficiaries beneficiaries gh352 are to receive gh440 whilst 4 or more households who received gh440 are now to receive gh530.

Hon Lartey expressed government’s commitment to ensure that the LEAP Grant disbursement is done in a fair and transparent manner.
