Caritas Ghana to Launch Bold 2025–2030 Strategic Framework at Donors’ Conference
Caritas Ghana, the development and humanitarian wing of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, will officially launch its Strategic Framework 2025–2030 at the upcoming Caritas Ghana Donors’ Conference on August 20, 2025, at the GNAT Hostel in Accra.
The event will bring together government officials, diplomatic missions, development partners, Catholic donor agencies, and private sector representatives to explore new opportunities for collaboration in support of Ghana’s most vulnerable communities.
“The launch of this Strategic Framework marks a new chapter in our journey,” said Richard Akurugu, Executive Director of Caritas Ghana. “It is designed to strengthen accountability, deliver measurable impact, and ensure that every partnership with Caritas Ghana brings value for money and lasting change.”
Why It Matters
The new Framework commits Caritas Ghana to six priority areas: Institutional Development and accountability; sustainable livelihoods; environment and climate action; peacebuilding and governance; emergency response; and social services in health and education. These priorities are fully aligned with Ghana’s national development agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Participation will be both in-person in Accra and virtual, opening the dialogue to a broad range of local and international stakeholders.
A Call to Partners
Caritas Ghana is inviting partners and stakeholders to join this important conversation. As a member of the global Caritas Confederation, the organization brings international expertise and innovation, while maintaining deep community roots through diocesan and parish structures nationwide.
