Latif Abubakar Wipes Tears of Ghanaians with Thrilling “Sim Majorley” Play

Globe Productions’ Latif Abubakar was on his characteristic best on Saturday when he staged yet a very compelling and thrilling play which assuaged the pains of Ghanaians following the tragic loss of the Gallant Eight in the helicopter crash.

The opening of the “Sim Majorley” Play got revelers glued to their seats due to how captivating it was, thereby moving them into a state of ecstasy .

The play, characterized by sensational and emotional story lines, mimicking a Ghanaian and Korean culture tells a story of a daughter’s sacrifice for a father’s healing interspersed with music and performances drawing unbridled laughter and applause from the audience.

This unique play from the Play Wright, Latif Abubakar further distinguishes him as a real mccoy in the theatre industry which has witnessed significant growth over the period owing to the ingenuity of the likes of Latif.

Many audience who enjoyed themselves watching the play expressed contentment and thumbed Latif up for such a show.

“I was in a state of distraught before coming to watch the play because I attended the vigil for the Helicopter victims but this play has wiped out my tears seriously”, Adwoa Brago told Editor of senaradioonline.com.

I’ve always known that Latif will pull together a solid play for all of us to enjoy.

As you can see we are all mourning but atleast this play has put smiles on our faces, thanks to Latif, Julius Bawuah recounted.

The Korean Ambassador to Ghana, Park Kyongsig, who was the special guest, expressed his appreciation to Latif and pledged to continue supporting Globe productions.

On his part, Mr. Abubakar revealed that theatre is very expensive and that it would require over ghc 600,000.00 to put together such a stupendous show.

He therefore called for support and collaboration to enable him deliver more.
