The CEO of COA Research and Manu Limited, Prof. Samuel Ato Duncan has described his green Gold Agenda as the game changer for Ghana’s economic Development.

The multiple Award Winning Herbal Researcher made statement at a ceremony in Accra to inaugurate the Traditional Medicine Practice Council of which he is the Chairman.
TMPC is a key regulatory body under Ghana’s Ministry of Health.

Prof. Duncan’s appointment comes on the heels of a broader government initiative to reinvigorate the nation’s healthcare system

governing boards for six major agencies.
These include the National Ambulance Service, Mental Health Authority, Ghana College of Pharmacists, Allied Health Professions Council, National Blood Service, and the Traditional Medicine Counci

He outlined a vision focused on regulatory reforms, product standardization, and international competitiveness. Central to his strategy is what he calls the “Green Gold Agenda”, a national plan to harness Ghana’s vast medicinal plant resources for health and economic development.
“Our natural resources, particularly medicinal plants, hold enormous potential. You can live without gold, but you can’t live without plants. If we add value and meet global standards, this sector can generate more revenue than gold,” Prof. Duncan asserted.

Under his leadership, the Traditional Medicine Council is expected to strengthen collaborations with researchers, local manufacturers, and international partners to build a structured, science-driven herbal medicine industry in Ghana.
