A statement issued by CePRA and signed by its Executive Director of, Mr. Michael Petit Mawugbe explained that the extent to which communications from the Jubilee house are noticed, accessible, and engaging to citizenry is commendable.

Communication is about ensuring that messages are not just sent but also seen and understood and this is exactly what Hon. Kwakye is doing and we commend him for that”, Mr. Mawugbe emphasized.

“His periodic meet the press series both at the Information Service Department and the Jubilee house coupled with his strong presence on social media and leveraging it to articulate government’s policies and initiatives make him special and erudite”, he added.

CePRA believes that the way the Minister of State in charge Government Communications has conducted himself so far in handling pertinent issues of national concern would further endear the government to the citizenry and strengthen the trust and goodwill between government and populace.

A minister that acknowledges that social media is the new norm for communications is very tactful and has foresight.

He is smart because he reckons that Social media facilitates rapid communication and real-time interaction, allowing for immediate feedback and engagement. Any Minister who adopts this strategy would make massive impact in his sector”, CePRA maintains.

Meanwhile CePRA has hinted of assessing the performance of all Ministers and Head of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) on communications and information visibility and making it public by way of grading.
