The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana Rev Stephen Yenusom Wengam has been addressing the 22nd Biennial General Council Meeting of Guyana Assemblies of God in Georgetown.

Rev Wengam addressing General Council meeting of Guyana Assemblies of God in Georgetown.
Rev Wengam who doubles as Cabinet/Executive member of World Assemblies of God Fellowship spoke on : The Awesome Deeds of Prayer.
He said “intense, consistent, deliberate and prolonged praying births unequaled revival. More prayer provokes the release of fresh revival,” Rev Wengam added.
He reminded the gathering that prayer birthed the Azusa Street revival at Los Angeles in the United States of America which produced Assemblies of God in 1914. Rev Wengam again referred to Acts 1:14 where the 120 disciples met in the Upper Room to pray for 10days before the Holy Spirit fell on them. He emphasized that the Holy Spirit did not fall on the first or second day because it “takes much prayer for great revival to take place,
like what happened on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2 ).
After the sermon Rev Wengam led the congregation to pray intensely until there was a literal presence of the Holy Spirit , leading to massive manifestation of revival and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The General Superintendent of Guyana Assemblies of God, Bishop John Smith testified that they had experienced the visitation of the Holy Spirit in an unusual manner.
